KATHMANDU, JANUARY 17
Ncell has partnered with the U.S. Embassy in Nepal to support Creator's Mela 2026, a free, in-person conference aimed at empowering Nepal's growing community of content creators through learning, collaboration, and professional exposure.
The three-city event begins in Chitwan on January 17, followed by Nepalgunj on January 24, and will conclude with a two-day event in Kathmandu on January 30 and 31.
Ncell has supported the Creator's Mela since its inception in 2023, aligning with its vision to empower Nepali youth through digital content creation and contribute to the Digital Nepal initiative. This year's theme, "Vision to Venture," focuses on transforming creative ideas into practical skills and sustainable opportunities.
"We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the U.S. Embassy for the Creator's Mela," said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director of Ncell. She added that Ncell has also launched a video challenge alongside the event to encourage creative participation.
Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy Nepal, Mike Harker, said the initiative reflects the United States' commitment to strengthening Nepal's creative economy by supporting entrepreneurship, job creation, and global market access for Nepali creators.
As part of the programme, Ncell has launched a video challenge inviting registered participants to post one-minute videos on social media highlighting how Ncell 4G supports daily life. Winners from each city will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and opportunities to engage in future Ncell Foundation initiatives.
Since 2023, Creator's Mela has engaged more than 5,000 creators nationwide through workshops, panels, and expert interactions.
