ADB’s $150m loan

KATHMANDU: The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Board of Directors has approved $150 million loan to help improve the reliability and efficiency of Nepal’s electricity supply and distribution through the Nepal Electricity Authority.

Issuing a press release on Friday, the ADB said it will also administer a $2 million technical assistance grant from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction financed by the government of Japan to strengthen the capacity of Nepal’s energy sector to deliver Gender Equality and Social Inclusion results.
