Kathmandu, May 25:
Asian Development Bank (ADB), in an attempt to improve key government services, has approved a technical assistance (TA) grant for $2,75,000. According to a report issued from the Manila-based ADB, the TA is designed to help the Nepal government implement the ADB-assisted governance reform programme (GRP) approved in 2001 which aims to establish an effective and efficient civil service in Nepal. ADB reports that performance improvement is a critical component of GRP, and other reform initiatives are expected to complement this.
