KATHMANDU: Gaurav Agarwal has been appointed as honorary consul of the Dominican Republic for Nepal.

This appointment marks a new era of diplomatic relations between Dominican Republic and Nepal, strengthening ties and fostering collaborations in trade, tourism and cultural exchange, as per a press release.

As honorary consul, Agarwal aims to foster friendship and cooperation between Nepal and the Dominican Republic, opening new avenues for mutual growth and understanding. A prominent entrepreneur and advocate of international relations, Agarwal is the managing director of Kathmandu Marriott Hotel.

A scholar from London Business School, who has completed his Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy, he is also actively involved in philanthropy and social causes.
