KATHMANDU: A delegation of Gurung Sewa Samiti (GSS), Kathmandu, representing the people of Okhaldhunga today met with Prithvi Subba Gurung, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation and demanded of blacktopping Rumjatar Airport, the only airport in the district. Badri Kaji Gurung, general secretary of GSS said if the airport is blacktopped, which is important for both the domestic and foreign tourists, it will further help for tourism promotion. Gurung said 12 in the country are listed for improvement under the programme of the economic aid of ADB and Rumjatar airport will also be included in the programme.

If this project is delayed, the government will itself bring a programme for the improvement of the airport, he said.
