KATHMANDU: Anupama Khunjeli has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Mega Bank Ltd. An Executive Committee meeting of the bank had decided to appoint Khunjeli to the top post.

With this appointment, Khunjeli became the first female CEO of A-class commercial bank in Nepal, and will be assuming office on Monday.

Newly appointed CEO, Anupama Khunjeli thanked the executive committee of the bank for giving her the responsibility of leading the institution from the front.

"I am determined to win confidence of all the stakeholders in taking the bank ahead," Khunjeli added.

Likewise, Mega Bank Chairman Bhoj Bahadur Shah said, "Executive Committee believes that the new CEO will take the bank to new heights."

CEO Khunjeli, who started her banking career from Standard Chartered Bank, the then Grindlays Bank, has 27 years experience in banking sector.
