Asiana Airlines, Gandaki Int’l ink accord

Kathmandu, April 28:

Asiana Airlines of South Korea has appointed Gandaki International (P) Ltd as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for Nepal.

“Il Woo Jung, regional manager, Asiana Airlines and Ram Kaji Koney, managing director, Gandaki International Travels (Pvt) Ltd signed an agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in the valley today. It will be effective from May 1,” states a press release.

The airline is expected to operate scheduled flights to Kathmandu soon. “Until then, passengers can use their services via New Delhi (India), Bangkok (Thailand) and Hong Kong (Republic of China) to different destinations.

As a sister company of Kumho Asiana Group, Asiana Airlines is the second largest South Korean passenger carrier operating to 65 different destinations in 17 countries including US and Europe.

It also has extensive cargo service in 24 cities. Asiana Airlines has 65 fleets of aircraft and is

accredited as a Star Alliance member.

Gandaki International Travels (Pvt) Ltd is the sister concern of Gandaki Tours & Travels that is the sole agent for Uzbekistan Airways.
