B’desh Trade Fair 2008 from Dec 4

Kathmandu, December 1:

The Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh’s government will hold Bangladesh Single Country Fair 2008 here on December 4-7.

“To explore and boost Nepal-Bangladesh economic ties, the fair will encourage cooperation between the business communities of the two countries and it is expected to accelerate trade and economic cooperation,” said Imtiaz Amhed, Bangladesh’s ambassador to Nepal.

“In terms of business contact,

significant progress can be made through the fair,” he said adding that the Nepali business community has responded positively to the Bangladeshi initiative. Ahmed added, “The fair will promote mutual understanding among the people of Bangladesh and Nepal and offer an opportunity to the Nepali people to have a taste of quality Bangladeshi products at competitive prices.” The fair will have a participation of 37 firms from Bangladesh. The product ranges from sarees and handloom items such as jamdani, silk and muslin sarees.

The fair will also have readymade garments, jute products, food products, melamine products, handicrafts, nakshi kantha, bedcovers, wallmats, jute bag, artificial flowers, leather goods, knitted and woven items, melamine products, cosmetic and toiletries and herbal beauty products aside from other miscellaneous products to offer.
