Ball in finance minister’s court: Kharel

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Parliamentary Party meeting held on the premises of Parliament building in New Baneshwor decided to consciously raise the party’s objection in the discussions in the House and not to support the passage of the budget if the budgetary programmes were not corrected as per the party’s concerns, said UML Chief Whip Agni Kharel.

“The party members, including party Chairman KP Oli, objected to the budget brought unilaterally by ignoring UML. We will raise our concerns in the Parliament discussions.

If the finance minister refuses to correct the budget, we will not vote in support of the budget. The ball is now in the court of the finance minister,” said Kharel.
