Bishal Bazar proposes bonus

Kathmandu, December 27:

Bishal Bazar Company Ltd is proposing 100 per cent bonus; 80 per cent bonus shares and 20 per cent cash dividend in its 27th AGM going to be held on January 12.

Recently, Soaltee Hotels has also announced 10 per cent cash dividend. Apart from financial institution, only Hydropower and Hotel groups are doing well lately. But today Hydropower group’s index also ended into negative territory. Nepali capital market lacks the active involvement of real sector. After a continuous fall for four days this week, Nepse gained 16.79 points to 984.53 points today, the last day of the week for trading, from yesterday’s closing.

On Sunday, Nepse had dipped by 10.08 points to 1045.65 points, on Monday by 27.49, on Tuesday by 25.24 points to 992.92 points and on Wednesday by 25.18 points to 967.74 points. Except Insurance group and Hydropower group, all other market propellers had a bad performance this week. Hotel group performed exceptionally well this week with Soaltee, Taragaon and Oriental Hotels’ shares being traded at the floor.
