Property gutted

CHITWAN: Fire gutted a candle factory in Bharatpur of Chitwan district on Sunday. The fire broke out at 9 am and gutted property worth Rs 3 million at the candle factory based at Bharatpur Municipality-11, said the Chitwan District Police Office. No human casualty has been reported in the incident although there were several workers in the factory at the moment. Locals and fire fighters from Bharatpur Municipality brought the fire under control after an hour. The factory belongs to local Imandu Baral, said the police office. — RSS

Multi projects

BIRATNAGAR: The Commercial Agricultural Alliance (CAA), Biratnagar, is running projects worth Rs 10 million with financial support from Morang District Development Committee. The projects are in Kerabari, Bhogteni, Singhdevi road section, Agricultural Products Collection and Distribution Center, Letang, and Seed Store Center, Tankasiniwari, in Morang district. Around 90 per cent of the work has been completed at Kerabari, Bhogteni and Singhdevi road section. Around 60 per cent of the work at Agricultural Products Collection and Distribution Center, Letang, and Seed Store Center in Tankesinawari is complete, said engineer from the District Technical Office, Om Raj Dhungana. Asian Development Bank is monitoring the work in the projects. — RSS
