BIDA’s demand

KATHMANDU: Balaju Industrial Development Association (BIDA), an organization of entrepreneurs in Balaju Industrial District (BID), has demanded that the industrial district be re-opened. BID is closed since Monday after a clash between labourers and management on Sunday. BIDA has requested political parties and authorities to launch initiatives to reopen BID. — HNS

Fertiliser seized

ITAHARI: Police in Sunsari district seized 120 sacks of fertilizer being smuggled on a tractor on Tuesday night. The fertilizer was being transported to Dharan from Duhabi of Sunsari. Police said 63 sacks of DAP and 57 sacks of urea fertilizer were seized after the persons ferrying the fertilizer failed to produce valid documents related to customs. The fertilizer was supplied by Jayama Traders belonging to Rajendra Sah. — RSS
