Tie up for Miss Nepal

KATHMANDU: Shrestha International Trading Concern, authorised distributor of Kinetic Nova scooter, and The Hidden Treasure Nepal have signed an agreement, to make the scooter as the official scooter for upcoming Miss Nepal beauty pageant contest. As per the agreement, the winner of the beauty pageant will receive a 135cc Kinetic Nova. — HNS

Inter-bank quiz held

KATHMANDU: An inter-bank quiz contest was organised yesterday to mark the golden jubilee of Nepal Rastra Bank. Inaugurating the contest, Bijaya Nath Bhattarai, governor of NRB said that programmes like the quiz competition could be instrumental in enhancing general knowledge of employees involved in the banking and financial sectors. — RSS

Tourist arrivals drop

BHARATPUR: The number of tourists visiting Royal Chitwan National Park (RCNP) has dropped by about 26.3 per cent during 2004-05, compared to the last year. Some 30,204 tourists from third countries, 2,904 from SAARC countries and 9,546 domestic tourists visited the national park during the period. RCNP has fixed entrance charge of Rs 500 for each foreign visitor, Rs 200 for SAARC tourists and Rs 20 for Nepali. — RSS
