FNCCI team selected
KATHMANDU: Chandi Raj Dhakal has been unanimously elected the president of FNCCI, an apex body ofprivate sector. Dhakal, currently the first vice-president of FNCCI was chosen unopposed as nobody filed nomination to the top post till 6pm today, the deadline for submitting the nomination. Dhakal is the chairman of Momento Apparels - one of the largest garment manufacturers in Nepal. He will assume office following the conclusion of 39th AGM of FNCCI, scheduled for July 13 and 14 in Kathmandu. Meanwhile, eight executive members have also been unanimously chosen for the 2005-07 term. Bijaya Kumar Shrestha (Mechi), Diwakar Golchha (Koshi), D B Basnet (Janakpur), Kalyan Krishna Tamrakar (Bagmati), Kush Kumar Joshi (Narayani) and Sahadev Rajbhandari (Dhaulagiri) are the new members. Likewise, Dilendra Rajbhandari has been chosen from tourism sector, Birendra B Thapaliya from transport and Hikmat Bahadur Mali from bi-national chamber of commerce. The remaining 42 posts will be fulfilled by elections on July 14. — HNS
NB bank’s conference
KATHMANDU: N B Bank Ltd organised a ‘Managers’ Conference 2005 recently with a view to review the current position and work out an effective strategy for the betterment of the bank in the future. The bank aims at contributing to the promotion of hydropower and export sector of Nepal, says a press release issued by the bank today.
