CG completes 135 years

KATHMANDU: Chaudhary Group (CG), Nepal’s one the leading business groups, has celebrated its 135th founding day on Sunday. Lunkaran Das Chaudhary, founding chairman of CG inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp. Directors, management team and other prominent personalities took part in the function with employees of 40 different industries and trading enterprises of the group. Binod Kumar Chaudhary, president and managing director of CG said, quality management alongwith introduction of innovative technologies are reasons for CG’s success.— HNS

Shaka Laka Boom offer

KAHTMANDU: Himalayan Snax and Noodles Pvt Ltd has announced a new ‘Singer Khoja- Prize Roja’ scheme. The company has appointed pop singers Nima Rumba, Sabin Rai and Dipesh Kishore Bhattarai as brand ambassadors for Shaka Laka Boom. According a press release, there will be two types of coupons inside a packet, which depicts photo of the brand ambassadors. One has to adjust a picture. The winners have to choose the packed prize, which will be distributed by the concerned singer. Prizes will range from Rs 5,000 - 300,000.

Mobile re-registration

BIRATNAGAR: Nepal Telecom regional office, Biratnagar has started re-registration of post-paid mobile phones from yesterday. The regional office had sold a total of 2,600 post paid SIM cards before the service had been suspended temporarily, following the February 1 Royal Proclamation, according to Agni Prasad Timsina, engineer at Nepal Telecom, Biratnagar. — RSS

KATHMANDU: Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in association of Bhaktapur Retailers Association, organised a consumer-cum-traders awareness programme. Yubak Rajbhandari, president of BCCI highlighted the importance of awareness on consumers’ rights. — HNS
