Phone service obstructed

DIPAYAL: Telephone service in parts of Achham and Bajura districts has been obstructed after a gang of terrorists detonated bomb at the repeater tower of Nepal Telecom situated at Siudi VDC of Achham district last week. The terrorists have also taken away the wires and equipment from the tower, informed the Telecom Office, Dipayal. Some 22 telephone lines in Achham and 12 in Bajura have been obstructed following the explosion. — RSS

Wheat output increases

RAJBIRAJ: The favorable weather has contributed to about 15 per cent increment in production of wheat in Saptari district. Wheat had been cultivated in 21,000 hectares in the district last year yielding 43,000 metric tons while it has been grown in 20,000 hectares this year, informed the district agriculture office. — RSS
