Team leaves for Doha

KATHMANDU:

To participate in the regional meeting of non-resident Nepalis (NRN) in the West Asian region, a Nepali delegation led by Suraj Vaidya, third vice-president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has left for Doha, Qatar. The regional meeting is scheduled for 21-22 January. The meeting will focus on the issues of foreign employment and the hassles faced by Nepalis going for foreign employment. — HNS

Workshops organised

KATHMANDU:

Various workshops and seminars for bank employees in the sector of regulations for trade finance, bank operation management, regulations on credit were organised by Kathmandu Frontier Association (KFA) Pvt Ltd in the month of December and January. The KFA has been organising such events with the objectives of making accounting comprehensive and managing store and accounting. — HNS

Oven training concludes

SURKHET:

District-level improved oven management training concluded in Chindhu of Surkhet with the slogan ‘improved oven and healthy life.’ The training was held at the joint efforts of CECI / joint effort, victims uplift centre, public service association, Ujjwal arts and women awakening forum. People from 11 VDCs of eastern Surkhet participated in the training. —RSS

Potato farmers worried

SYANGJA:

Farmers in Syangja are worried with rotting of potato plants. Blight has affected potato crop cultivated in Putalikhet of Putalibazar municipality, which is expected to decrease the potato output this year. — RSS

Electrification complete

DAMAULI:

Electrification has been carried out at Loprang village of Anbukhaireni VDC, Tanahu following electric poles having been laid four years ago. Electricity has been supplied to 26 households in the village. — RSS
