Agriculture expo ends

DHADING:

District Agriculture Office, Dhading held an agricultural exhibition recently. Some 132 farmers of the district displayed their best products at the exhibition. Selected farmers were given away with prizes and certificates at the conclusion of the exhibition. — RSS

Foreign reserves rise

TOKYO:

Japan’s foreign exchange reserves at the end of December rose by $4.46 billion from the previous month to a new record of $844.54 billion. Japan is the world’s biggest holder of foreign reserves and the December figure marked the eighth consecutive month-on-month increase. — AFP

Philippine exports rise

MANILA:

Philippine exports in November rose by 19.5 per cent from a year earlier to $3.69 billion, the fastest growth rate since July 2002 and up on 12.3 per cent in October. The November figures brought the year-to-date total to $36.38 billion, up by 9.9 per cent from the same

Finnish trade surplus up

HELSINKI:

Finland’s trade surplus in November grew to $1.27 billion in the same month last year. Finnish exports in November were up by 17 per cent year-on-year, while imports grew by 16 per cent. In the 11 months, its accumulated trade surplus reached 7.53 billion euros. — AFP
