Experts asked for giving women due importance for driving the socio-economic situation ahead at a programme organised here today by South Asia Partnership Nepal (SAP-Nepal). Wheat output declines

DANG:

Wheat output has been adversely affected by the adulteration of dap and urea fertiliser with low quality fertiliser, farmers complained. according to Agriculture Inputs Corporation, Tulsipur depot, unrestricted adulteration has taken place after the government gave the private sector permission to import fertiliser. — RSS

Skill development

LEKHNATH:

Cottage and Small Industries Office, Kaski, has provided different skill development training to about 3,490 persons in the last 10 years. Some 2,101 women and 1,389 men took different training, informed Shiva Prasad Parajuli, chief at the office. — RSS

Bakery industry in Mugu

MUGU:

Bakery industry has been set up in Mugu district. The bakery industry is the first of its kind in Mugu. Rural Occupation Assistance Programme provided the technical assistance. Training on baking breads and management of the bakery was also provided to the people for two weeks. — RSS

Inflation dips to 6.5pc

NEW DELHI:

The annual rate of inflation based on wholesale prices fell for the fourth successive week to 6.50 per cent for the week ended December 18, from 6.73 per cent for the week before. — HNS
