Rally against child labour

SUNSARI: The Namuna Child Club and Bal Sandhya Chetana Club of Itahari in cooperation with Pragatisheel Child Group organised a child rally against child labour here on Thursday. The rally that began from Itahari chowk went round various parts of the town carrying anti-labour placards and chanting slogans against child abuse and child labour. The rally converged into a gathering after reaching the starting point. — RSS

Animal husbandry helps

TULASIPUR: Animal husbandry has become a good source of income for farmers who have been making a good business with vegetable and fruit farming. Milk production has been on the rise after farmers took breeding of developed species of cow and buffaloes professionally. The district has been making an annual profit of around Rs 12 million from dairy business alone. Farmers in Dhukhuri, Tribhuvanagar, Narayanpur and other areas in the district are involved in the dairy business. — RSS

Solar energy on rise

BHOJPUR: Installation of solar panels to produce an alternate source of energy has been increasing day by day in rural areas, including the district headquarters of the remote hilly district of Bhojpur. People from all strata of life that includes low, middle and high income groups have been attracted to the benefits of solar energy. The government provides a grant of Rs 7,200 to Rs 12,000 for such installation in accessible, remote and more remote areas in order to give a boost to the use of solar energy. — RSS

Poverty alleviation agenda

KATHMANDU: Leader of the Nepali delegation to the 11th ministerial conference of UNCTAD in Sao Paulo, Brazil Gyan Chandra Acharya has said that Nepal has been pursuing a poverty alleviation agenda, as it is the overarching goal of its development plan. Nepal needs more trade to make its efforts sustainable in days ahead. — RSS
