ISO workshop held

BHAKTAPUR: With a view to give information about ISO certified institutions, Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) organised an interactive programme for its members and business enterprises today. The programme was organised in association with Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM). Bibek Man Karhmacharya, first vice-president of Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the ISO certification could be an effective way to enhance productivity of products to compete in the globalised market. Kul Prasad Sapkota, director at NBSM highlighted about the benefits of ISO certification in any enterprises. — HNS

PCCI team visits Lalitpur

LALITPUR: A 21-member delegation of Pyuthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) visited Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) office today. Raj Kumar Kakhyapati, president of PCCI said that the delegation intends to learn more about chamber activities, as it is going to organise an agro-fair very soon in Pyuthan. “Being one of the remotest districts, Pyuthan has been suffering from supply deficit of various daily consumer goods and other products due to frequent bandhs, blockades and strikes,” he said, adding that the business community should raise its voice to ease the situation. The coming fair would aim to give a boost to business inthe area. LCCI president, Indra Bahadur Shrestha informed about various activities being carried out by the chamber. — HNS

Crity Award on July 11

KATHMANDU: Advertising Agencies Association of Nepal (AAAN) has rescheduled the Crity Award 2061 presentation ceremony for July 11, in Kathmandu. The annual celebration of Nepali advertising industry was earlier announced for June 12, states a press release issued here today by Advertising Agencies Association of Nepal . The venue for the event will be Yak and Yeti Hotel and 203 nominations have been received from 23 advertising agencies in 10 categories. The award presentation programme will be telecast live through Nepali TV channels. — HNS
