FNCCI call
KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Kush Kumar Joshi during a meeting with Prof Dr Serif Ali Tokalan, Chairman of the International Association of Universities, Turkey, focused on joint investment in education, health, energy and banking sectors. During the meeting, Joshi urged foreign investors to make investments in all possible sectors in Nepal, according to a press statement. — HNS
SDBL awarded
KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Development Bank Ltd (SDBL) has received the ISO 9001:2008 (NS-EN ISO 9001:2008 award. The bank was awarded the Norsk Akkreditering of Norway award as it fulfilled the quality criteria fixed by Kvalitet Verites Quality Assurance, according to a press statement. Till date, the bank has collected Rs 1.48 billion deposit and has a credit flow of Rs 1.45 billion. — HNS
CRF gives aid
KATHMANDU: A team of Citizens’ Relief Fund (CRF) on Saturday distributed relief materials to fire victims in Kapilvastu district. According to a press statement, the families of the fire victims were each provided 10 kilogrammes of rice, 1kg salt and each family member was given clothes. The total relief package is equivalent to about Rs 2.5 lakh. The fire affected 91 families in Pathardaiya-10 at Ganeshpur and 24 families at Gugauly. The incident took place on February 21. — HNS
