KATHMANDU: Nepal Land and Housing Developers’ Association is organizing Nepal’s first Panchakanya Real Estate Expo 2009 from March 19-22 at Bhrikuti Mandap. The expo will feature multi-feature showcases by hundreds of exhibitors, from landscape planners to skyscraper builders and suppliers to Vastu experts to interiors designers and fabricators and evaluators to financiers. Wheel’s Holi launch

KATHMANDU: Wheel washing powder on the occasion of Holi has launched its Holi Hungama Scheme. Under the scheme, people can send their best Holi snap to post box number 7765 and the three lucky winners will get a Samsung washing machine each. CCA turns 100

KATHMANDU: Nepali cooperatives have congratulated the Canadian Cooperative Association (CCA) on it celebrating its 100th anniversary. Canada’s first national cooperative association was formed on March 6, 1909, to encourage sharing of information, provide mutual help and concerted action by Canadian cooperatives, said Dave Sitaram. CCA helps Nepali cooperatives especially women-led ones in various ways. — HNS

MBL’s new branch

KATHAMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd (MBL) inaugurated its new branch office at Swyambhuchowk, Chakrapath, on Wednesday. According to a press release, the bank till date has a total deposit of Rs 13 billion with total paid-up capital of Rs 1.31 billion. It has registered an operating profit of Rs 220 million. The bank has 24 branch offices and plans to open 10 ATM counters soon. —HNS
