NIBL’s 27th branch

KATHMANDU: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) on Sunday opened its 27th branch in Lukla. The bank had total deposits of Rs 41,070 million till mid-January. The NPA of the bank was at 1.12 per cent while the operating profit was Rs 718 million till mid-January. The bank has issued 1,77,919 Visa debit/credit cards to its customers, said a press release. — HNS

SIL premium

KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Insurance Ltd (SIL) collected insurance premium of Rs 82.1 million till the first six months of the fiscal year 2008-09, an increment of 32 per cent over the last fiscal same period. Total insurance claim payment by the company during the first six months of the present fiscal year was Rs 22.74 million. — HNS

SBI’s 22nd branch

KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank inaugurated its 22nd branch at Bouddha on Sunday. According to a press statement, the bank plans to open branches at Kalanki, Maharajgunj, New Baneshwor, and Bhaktapur within the valley and in Surkhet, Ghorahi, Tamghas, Tansen, Itahari and Ilam outside the valley. — HNS

Antipimple ‘bomb’

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Marketing & Trading House, the authorized importer of Reckitt Benckiser, has launched Clearasil “Pimple Care Expert”, in Nepal. According to a press statement, Clearasil face wash, soap and cream are being launched in Nepal from Thursday. Country Manager Arunasish Dutta said, “Clearasil will now be available in Nepal.” — HNS
