Yamaha Mela
KATHMANDU: On the third day of Yamaha Mahamela-III on Saturday, 40,000
bike enthusiasts visited Bhrikuti Mandap Hall where Morang Auto Works, the authorised distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal, is holding a bike mela under one roof. The event had entertainment programmes where artists Sugam Pokh-arel, Mausami Gurung and Avinash Ghising rendered their hit numbers. Some 15 finance companies, 40 exchangers and 13 trade-ins of Yamaha brand are in the five-day mela. — HNS

LAHAN: Revenue collection increased for the first time in 44 years at the Thadi Chhoti customs office after security provisions were tightened against smugglers in Guljar area of Siraha district. This fiscal, till the first week of February the office collected Rs 6,50,000. Earlier, it used to collect Rs 100,000 only in a year. A security camp has been set up in the district to control criminal activities in the southern area. — RSS
