KATHMANDU: Khatu International Pvt Ltd has launched Farlin Brand Baby Products consisting of feeding bottle, steam sterilizer, baby foam, shampoo and lotion, said a press release. The company also introduced microwave steam sterilizer. Farlin brand baby products are manufactured in Taiwan and Khatu International Pvt Ltd is the authorized distributor in Nepal. — HNS
NH&MF’s dividend
KATHMANDU: The 14th AGM of Nepal Housing and Merchant Finance (NH&MF) decided to give 31.58 per cent dividend from its paid up capital of fiscal year 2007-08. It is also giving 30 per cent bonus shares from the profits after tax, said a press release. The company earned an operating profit of Rs 46.1 million and posted an increment of 27 per cent in its net profit to Rs 22.2 million. — HNS
NLIC’s new branch
KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) inaugurated its 15th branch office at Birendranagar, Surkhet on Monday. The company has plans to extend six more branch offices and twelve customers care centres within mid-April, states a press statement. — HNS
SMBF posts profits
KATHMANDU: Sagarmatha Merchant Banking and Finance (SMBF) posted an increment of 57.76 per cent in its operating profit in comparison to the same period last fiscal year, states a press release. It registered a total operating profit of Rs 94.48 lakh. The AGM of the company also decided to grant 1:1.5 rights share. — HNS
NTB pavilion awarded
KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) along with six travel trade companies participated in the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) from January 9-11 in Chennai of India. As part of annual marketing activities in the Indian market, NTB showcased Nepali tourism attractions amidst the travel trade and visitors, said a press release. KATHMANDU: Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) started a two-week long Professional Advertising Training to promote and develop qualified manpower in the advertising sector, states a press release. “The advertising sector now needs more qualified human resource and such training will help produce necessary manpower,” said AAN’s president Nirmal Raj Poudel. — HNS
CFL to give dividends
KATHMANDU: The 12th AGM of Central Finance Ltd (CFL) has decided to distribute 30 per cent bonus share and 1.57 per cent cash dividend. According to a press release, the company has posted 65.13 per cent increment in its net profit in comparison to last fiscal year. The company has collected a deposit of Rs 920 million and floated a loan of Rs 880 million. — HNS
KSCC posts profit
KATHMANDU: Kalyan Savings and Credit Cooperative (KSCC) has posted an operating profit of Rs 9.234 million (before tax) till mid-January.
