KATHMANDU: Kist Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd on Monday inaugurated its 11th branch at Itahari in Sunsari District. According to a press release, within this year it will be upgraded to an A-class commercial bank and it plans to add 25 more branches in this fiscal year. — HNS

PCBL, CG Finco pact

KATHMANDU: Prime Commercial Bank Ltd (PCBL) has joined hands with CG Finco Pvt Ltd, one of the principal agents of Western Union in Nepal, to provide Western Union Money Transfer (WUMT) services. CG Finco GM Ashish Sharma and PCBL CEO Narayan Das Manandhar signed the agreement on November 27 in this regard, according to a press release. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank Employees’ Association unanimously formed its 18-member new team during its fifth general convention on Sunday. Basantaraj Pandey has been chosen president and Rajendra Rimal general secretary of the association for another two years, according to a press release. — HNS

Bajaj bumper prize

KATHMANDU: Devaki Rai won the bumper prize of Daihatsu Sirion Car under Bajaj’s Bhagya Bidhata scheme. Mahesh Agrawal won the Samsung Homemaker Pack for the 12th and last week of the scheme. Workers on strike

HETAUDA: Construction of Kulekhani III Hydroelectricity Project is obstructed since a week due to the strike of labourers who have accused the contractors of not paying their wages. Earlier, the labourers had seized hold of the contractor and handed over him to the police over the same issue. — RSS
