Oil drops to $42.56

VIENNA: The price of crude oil produced by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries

(OPEC) continued falling, and dropped to $42.56 last Friday. That was a drop of $1.50 per barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude at the week’s end versus $44.06. OPEC calculates an average price based on 13 important brands produced by its members. — DPA

BUTWAL: A model slaughter house will be built at Devinagar in Butwal orf Rupandehi district to process and distribute hygienic and healthy meat in the municipal area. Butwal Minicipality has allocated 33 katthas of land for the slaughterhouse that is estimated to cost Rs 50 million. While the government will provide Rs 10 million for the construction, Butwal Municipality will build its compound wall. A meeting of private sector stakeholders, government and municipality officials on Sunday agreed to finalise the plan of action for the construction within a week. — RSS
