EBL’s profit up
KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd’s operating profit has grown to Rs 235 million, 36.6 per cent more compared to that in the same quarter last year. “Deposits grew to Rs 27220 million, an increase of 38.5 per cent compared to the same quarter last year,” according to a press release. Loans increased to Rs 19870 million, an increase of 32.2 per cent compared to that in the same quarter last fiscal year. — HNS
NMB’s scheme
KATHMANDU: NMB Bank Ltd has launched a new savings deposit scheme, ‘NMB Absolute Savings Account’ with an interest rate of seven per cent per annum. The saving accounts will also provide 50 per cent discount on FCY/TC and Draft Issuance with banking facilities. — HNS
Industrial Fair
LEKHNATH: Preparations for the National Industrial Trade Fair-2065, which is starting from mid-November, are going on on a war footing. The fair, organised by Pokhara Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), will promote Pokhara as a city rich in tourism, agriculture, education and health facilities as well as local industrial products, said PCCI chief Mankaji Makaju. — RSS
Trade festival
KATHMANDU: Dadeldhura Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will hold a trade festival from November 9 to 19 for the economic development of the Far-western Development Region. DCCI expects sales to the tune of Rs 20 million and attendance of around one lakh people. Meanwhile, the Rautahat Chambers of Commerce is also going to organise a Central Development Region festival from November 12 to 21 in Rautahat to boost local economy. — HNS
