Spice Nepal donates
KATHMANDU: Spice Nepal, a private telecom operator has provided two million rupees in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. The CEO Dimtiri Jaica and coordinator Chadani Shrestha handed a cheque to the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Tuesday, states a press release. Earlier, Spice Nepal had handed over a cheque from their staff’s one-day salary that was Rs 2,13,781 to the Finance Minister. — HNS
IMF helps Tamang
KATHMANDU: International Money Express (IME) Pvt Ltd provided a financial support of one lakh rupees to Sunamaya Tamang, wife of Chandra Bahadur Tamang who died on August 1 in Malaysia. According to the press release, executive director of IME Chandra Prasad Dhakal handed over the amount to Tamang’s wife. — HNS
HAN team meets Yami
KATHMANDU: Representatives of the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) presented a memorandum — demanding 2010 to be declared as Visit Nepal Year — to Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hisila Yami on Tuesday. HAN has also urged to categorise hotels and restaurants and reduce VAT to 10 per cent. — HNS
