FCAN gets mandate

KATHMANDU: Green belt construction has been entrusted to the Federation of Constructors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN). Under public-private partnership planning, construction and management of the Chakrapath green belt project was handed over after an agreement between the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works and FCAN. According to a press release, MPPW managing director Tulsi Prasad Sitaula and FCAN president Sukunta Lal Hirachan signed the agreement on August 3. — HNS

FNCCI plea to govt

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has urged the government to provide security to people engaged in the business sector. Issuing a press release, FNCCI flayed the attack on Dhangadhi businessman Dharma Raj Kunwar who was heading here from Dhangadhi for a medical check-up of his child. A group of more than 20 people attacked Kunwar at Atariya. — HNS
