NCC’s fair decision

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) is taking part in International Industrial fair-2008 — in Kolkata in December — as a partner country. Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Navada and NCC president Surendra Bir Malakar discussed about the fair and other various issues between the two South Asian neighbours at the NCC office on Wednesday. — HNS

BoK’s new scheme

KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has brought ‘24-carat fix deposit’ scheme. “A customer, immediately after opening an account, will get one 24-carat gold coin,” states a press release. The account will attract five per cent interest like any other fixed deposit account. “Apart from that, a customer can take loan against it also,” it states. — HNS

New cooperative

KATHMANDU: Dahachowk Namuna Saving & Credit Cooperative Society Ltd has started its operation. The cooperative was inaugurated by Sher Bahadur Budhathoki, a social worker amid a function recently. — HNS

Pro-Biotech’s branch

KATHMANDU: Pro-Biotech Industries Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Nimbus Group, has opened its eighth branch office at Garudpath in Hetauda municipality. The company — that produces Shakti brand pellet feed for poultry — is one of the largest pellet feed producers in the country. Shakti brand pellet, which is also the recipient of Nepal Standard Mark, is popular among poultry farms and livestock farmers, and has been selling throughout the country. It also plans to sell fertilizer, improved variety of seeds, agro tools and provide consultancy, states a press release. — HNS

Charity competition

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metro Round Table 4 is organising Speed Fest (Corporate Go-Kart Challenge) this year too, to raise funds for social projects. It has started the competition since last year. It is being organised on June 21 at Tiger Go-Kart, Swayambhu. — HNS
