Global gold meet
DUBAI: Dubai is all set to host the sixth City of Gold Conference on
April 12-13, with over 500 delegates from the jewellery sector worldwide expected to participate. The two-day long annual event is being organised in collaboration with the Dubai
Multi Commodities Centre at hotel Park Hyatt here. Around 20 international speakers will also take part. The current state of the industry, challenges of price rise, supply crunch and competition from the luxury industry will be discussed. — HNS
India’s crude output
NEW DELHI: India’s crude production fell by 3.6 per cent below the envisaged target in February despite surplus output from private oilfields. While the government had targeted crude production of 2.830 million metric tones (MMT), the actual output was just 2.728 MMT. India imports some 70 per cent of its crude needs. — HNS
