EBL in Lekhnath
Kathmandu: Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has opened its 24th branch at Lekhnath of Kaski on Friday. Colonal M S Dhanoa, defence attaché at the India embassy inaugurated the branch. EBL’s with its more than 140 payout locations, is also serving its customers to easily remit money to their home town through Everest Remit. Its customers can directly transfer money to the account of a person in India just like within Nepal. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Wincor Nixdorf (WN) International GmbH launched banking products and services — like ATM machine, cash despenser, self-service kiosk, automated teller safes, transaction terminals, and POS terminals — for banks and retail market in Nepal. Wincor’s ATMs are said to have better features like integrated security camera, motorised cash dispensing and low power consumption than their competitors, claims the company. Nepal already has two other brands of ATMs but they are used only for cash withdrawal. Wincor Nixdorf — one of the leading providers of IT solutions and services to retail market and retail banking — is the German-based company. Elite Networks is its local partner. — HNS
FNCCI, NCC hail pact
KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and FNCCI welcomed the accord between the government and United Madheshi Democratic Front. “It will help prepare conducive environment for CA polls,” they stated in a press release. They have also urged all parties to honour the commitment. “We hope that the government would soon come up with various relief programs for private sectors ,” the release stated. — HNS
