Bullion price rises

Kathmandu: Gold price in the domestic market witnessed a fluctuation this week due to fluctuation in the global oil prices. The precious yellow metal in the local bullion market closed Rs 130 higher to Rs 16,590 per 10 gram from the opening Rs 16,460. Meanwhile, the price of hallmark gold was steady at Rs 16,460 per 10 gram on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday — first three days of the week. However, it posted Rs 16,630 on Wednesday and Rs 16,460 on Thursday before closing at Rs 16,590

on Friday, the last day of the trading, according to Nepal Gold and

Silver Dealers’ Association’s (NEGOSIDA) weekly report. “International price of gold has also witnessed fluctuation this week as it reached $799 per ounce and again dropped to $796 at the closing,” states the release. Similarly, silver price also saw

a rise by Rs 1.50 per 10 gram this week. It was traded at Rs 307 per 10 gram on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but increased to Rs 308 on Wednesday and again fall to record Rs 307 on Thursday, while it closed at Rs 308.50 on Friday, the last day of the trading. — HNS
