NCC, Bhattarai talk

KATHMANDU: Keshav Bhattarai, newly appointed consular general for Hong Kong, has assured to help resolve problems regarding visa faced by Nepali traders and businessmen. In a meeting with the officials of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), on Monday, he said that he would try his best to promote Nepali exports to Hong Kong and attract Chinese investment to Nepal. Surendra Bir Malakar, president of NCC said that the government should utilise its diplomatic missions in resolving visa related problems often faced by businessmen. Meanwhile, the officials of Nepal China Chamber of Commerce and Industry also held a discussion with the newly appointed Nepali consular general for Hong Kong. Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, president of the association apprised Bhattarai on various problems being faced by Nepali traders in Hong Kong. — HNS

MYAGDI: Postal service has been affected in Myagdi district after peoples’ access to telephone services increased with the new wireless CDMA telephone at every nook and corners of the VDCs in the district. Rural populace now prefer telephone services to write and send letters via post. — RSS
