SCBNL in Nepalgunj

KATHMANDU: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd (SCBNL) has expanded its services in Nepalgunj by opening its branch on Sunday. Sujit Mundul, chief executive officer of SCBNL inaugurated the branch office, which the bank claims to provide better customer service to its existing and new clientele and to tap a new market. Senior officials of the bank, customers, and other stakeholders were present on the occasion. — HNS

KMBFL joins SCT

KATHMANDU: Kist Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd (KMBFL) has joined SCT Network to provide a wide coverage of issuing and acquiring of payment through card system. Kamal Prasad Gyawali, managing director at KMBFL and Rabindra Malla, MD/CEO of Smart Choice Technologies signed an agreement on behalf of their respective organisations to this regard, states a press release issued here today. With this agreement, the total number of member banks and financial institutions under SCT-Network has reached 20. — HNS

Exploring new sites

POKHARA: The campaigns for exploring new tourist sites and hospitality management are gearing up with the conjunction of Pokhara Visit Year-2007. At an interaction jointly organised by NTB and Pokhara Visit Year secretariat on ‘identification, promotion and preservation of tourism heritage’ at Dhachowk VDC of Kaski, villagers informed that basic infrastructure are being developed for the tourism development. They also said they are eager to welcome tourists in their villages. Dhachowk has been declared the free zone of excretes from last mid-April. — RSS
