Gold price drops

KATHMANDU: Gold price in the local bullion market has been continuously dropping for the last two weeks due to an improving strength of US dollars against the major currencies. The price of the precious yellow metal dropped by Rs 380 per 10 gram from Rs 14,700 on Sunday to Rs 14,320, when the market closed on Friday. The gold price dropped in the international market with future trading of gold slowed down this week. Price of silver also dropped to Rs 307 per 10 gram from Rs 312. — HNS

PARASI: The first convention of Nepal Auditors’ Association, Nawalparasi has constituted a nine-member district committee under the chairmanship of Ramji Gyawali. Madhav Koirala is the vice-president, while Hemraj Khanal, Ganesh Pachhai and Bhagawati Prasad Sharma are secretary, joint-secretary and treasurer respectively. — RSS
