KATHMANDU: Samsung, has come up with ‘Ab Gharmai Party’ scheme which gifts customers an 18-piece dinner set worth Rs 2, 500 and a seven piece juicer set worth Rs 890 with every purchase of a Samsung 21 inch TV and a 15 inch TV, respectively. The offer, available from December 3 to 30, raises the bar for consumer oriented promotions, claims the company’s press release. Him Electronics Pvt Ltd has floated the scheme on behalf of Samsung.—HNS

Eurozone inflation

FRANKFURT: The European Central Bank expects eurozone inflation to fall back below its target level of 2.0 per cent in 2008, the Financial Times Deutschland reported on Monday, quoting the bank’s updated forecasts to be published later this week. The ECB defines price stability as consumer price increases of close to but just below 2.0 per cent. However, the annual average rate of inflation in the 12 countries that share the euro last stood at that level in 1999. In fact, 1999 was the only time since the single currency was launched that area-wide inflation was lower than 2.0 per cent.—AFP
