Kist Remit starts

KATHMANDU: Kist Bank started Kist Remit that will initially serve clients of Bahrain and other Gulf countries. Customers can avail of the facility from any of the twenty-six branches of Kist Bank. Kist Bank opened its 26th branch at Durbar Marg on Sunday. Kist Bank chairman Rajendra Shakya inaugurated the branch. The has eight branches within the valley and eighteen outside the valley, a total of twenty-six branches. — HNS

BFL in Nepalgunj

KATHMANDU: Butwal Finance Ltd (BFL) opened its third branch at Dhamboji of Nepalgunj on Thursday. The branch was inaugurated amid a function. Around 400 people opened accounts on the first day of opening with Rs 15 million deposit. It has been providing banking services in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Nawalparasi and Dang. — HNS

IMEFIL’s schemes

KATHMANDU: IME Financial Institution Limited (IMEFIL) has introduced two new accounts with attractive interest rates. The new ‘Prafulla Deposit’ scheme aims to provide 8.5 per cent interest while the employee-centric pension plan will provide 10.15 per cent interest on annual basis. IMEFIL has a deposit of Rs 1.86 billion from 26,000 clients and has invested Rs 1.7 billion with 1,060 lenders. — HNS


New finance firm

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has permitted Reliance Finance Ltd (RFL) to operate in Kathmandu district. The finance company promoted by industrialists and other professionals has Rs 250 million authorised capital, Rs 200 million issued capital and Rs 140 million paid up capital. It will issue 30 per cent shares of issue capital to the people. The promoters are Kush Prasad Malli, Anil Shrestha, Chinkaji Shrestha, Sur Krishna Baidhya, Tilak Bahadur Chand and Mukunda Raj Pandey. — HNS


NSEMIA’s new team

KATHMANDU: The tenth AGM of Nepal Stationery and Educational Materials Industry Association (NSEMIA) was held on July 4. CMBF’s new branch

KATHMANDU: Capital Merchant Banking and Finance opened its new branch at Battisputali and Rabibhawan and also started ATM and ABBS services from Monday. The branch was inaugurated by the

SFL’s rights issue

KATHMANDU: Standard Finance Ltd (SFL) has notified a last date to apply for its rights shares in the ratio of 1:5. The request letter from the desired shareholders has been collected — as issued by the finance company. Apart from this, the company also stated that it will initiate its business from Kamalpokhari, Narayanchaur and Naxal branches. — HNS
