BAGHDAD: BP and China's CNPC International Ltd won a contract to work in Iraq's huge Rumaila oil field, the oil ministry announced on Tuesday.

The Rumaila field, in the south of the country, has known reserves of 17.7 billion barrels and was the largest of six on offer to foreign and large state-owned firms invited to invest in conflict-hit Iraq's energy sector.
