Brand watch : Hilltake water filters launched
Kathmandu, May 7 :
Hilltake Electrical & Refrigeration Industries has introduced water filter machines using reverse osmosis (RO) technology in the market.
The company today unveiled RO water filters in seven different models and sizes, targeting the urban consumers. “The Hilltake RO machine can easily purify water available in the Kathmandu valley and make them drinkable,” said Kamal Jain, president of Hilltake.
He also claimed that RO purified water has been found to be better than that of bottled mineral water according to test results of RONAST and central laboratory of Nepal Drinking Water Supply Corporation.
The water filter equipped with RO technology removes minute impurities like iron, and micro-organism bacteria and virus from contaminated water, which doesn’t need to boil. Developed by NASA in the US, the RO system enhances the taste of drinking water by removing salinity from raw water.
The Hilltake RO machines come with features for cold, hot and normal water and different sizes suitable for home, office, restaurant and hotels. The products’ price ranges between Rs 24,000 to Rs 92,000 depending upon size and models.
