BRAND WATCH : MSI launches Wind Netbook

Kathmandu, July 26:

Micro Star International (MSI) today launched MSI Wind Netbook. “Weighing just a kg, it is ideal for outdoor use,” says MSI. Living in this age of the Internet, users need to have an effective internet connection for professional and personal use. MSI Wind Netbook will meet the demands of modern people by providing a lighter and more convenient notebook computer with longer battery life, says the company Ocean Computers is the authorised seller of this brand.

The MSI Wind Netbook is equipped with Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system to provide a familiar platform to its users, claims the company. It has wireless (802.11b/g) and wired (10/100 ethernet) networking, is equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 and a 1.3 Mega Pixel webcam, and offers a 10” wide LCD display solution.

The embedded LED power-saving backlight technology provides better colour richness and brightness. The 1024 x 600 resolution delivers full display of web pages while browsing, giving users more freedom when exploring the internet. Unlike other competitors that have compromised memory capacity, MSI Wind Netbook is equipped with a 2.5 inch standard 80GB hard drive. This means that despite its size it can operate without the worry of insufficient storage capacity, the company says.

MSI has also announced the launch of Wind mini-desktop that is designed with parts from mini-laptop PCs. They even carry the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom microprocessors as many of the mini-laptops coming out these days.
