Brand watch : R15 rolls in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, August 10:

Morang Auto Works (MAW) launched its new super sports bike Yamaha YZF-R15 here today. Introduction of YZF-R15 will enrich excellent performance on roads outside the cities.

A new force drive YZF-R15 is derived from legendary R1 (liquid Cooled 4V engine, Fuel Injection, 6-speed gearbox, Delta box frames, styling) bike, claims the company. In comparison to cast steel liner type aluminium cylinders, Yamaha DiaSil cylinder-all aluminium die-cast better cooling performance and enables lighter design which results in better power to weight ratio.

The forged piston used is made with Yamaha ‘controlled forging technology’ having excellent strength characteristics that enable the design of a thinner, lighter piston with smaller reciprocating mass achieving higher rpm and performance.

According to the company, the YZF-R15 is offered in two colours; racing blue and black. It is priced at Rs 2,50,000.
