Call to boost Bhaktapur as tourist hub
Kathmandu, October 16:
Bhaktapur Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) during its 21st Annual General Meeting today urged for promotion of Bhaktapur as a tourist spot.
“Bhaktapur being a tourist area, special attention must be given to its economic development and promotion of tourism to develop it economically. The government should cooperate with private sector for this,” said Kush Kumar Joshi, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Speaking on the occasion, BCCI chairperson Bibekman Karmacharya said, “The political scenario in the country has changed, now it is esential to work for the development of the economy.”
Expressing his delight at the construction of the road between Bhaktapur and Kathmandu, FNCCI vice-president Krishna Prasad Tamrakar said, “Thanks to the construction of a six-lane road, more economic opportunities will be on the way and for it there must be some planning regarding future opportunities from today itself.”
