CAN InfoTech to be organised in every province

Kathmandu, February 12

Federation of Computer Association of Nepal (FCAN) is set to organise Startup CAN InfoTech in Butwal of Province 5 as per its plan to organise the fair in every province in accordance to the new administrative set up in federal Nepal.

Issuing a press note, the federation has said that as per its plan to organise information technology fair in each province, the first fair outside the Capital city is going to be held in Butwal from February 14 to 18.

“InfoTech will bring all the stakeholders related to information technology — equipment and service suppliers and customers — in one place and showcase the latest developments in the information communication and technology sector,” the statement has quoted Nabaraj Kuwar, senior vice president of the CAN Federation as saying. “We expect such fairs to be popular in every province.”

He further stated that the InfoTech will bridge the digital divide in federal Nepal.

A total of 130 stalls have been booked by different companies to showcase their products and services in the exhibition centre of Butwal and the five-day InfoTech is expected to draw at least 50,000 visitors, as per the statement.
