The all-electric crossover promises a driving range of up to 400 kilometres and fast-charging capability as Chery expands its EV lineup in Nepal.
KATHMANDU, JULY 7
Chery has announced plans to launch its new all-electric urban crossover, the Chery Q, in Nepal during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 scheduled for August 11–16 in Kathmandu.
Designed for urban commuting, the B-segment electric crossover is powered by a 90kW permanent magnet electric motor paired with a 41.2kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a claimed driving range of up to 400 kilometres under the NEDC standard.
The rear-wheel-drive vehicle features 375 litres of luggage space, expandable to 1,450 litres with the rear seats folded. It also supports 85kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in around 16 minutes. The vehicle is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing it to power external electrical devices.
According to the company, the Chery Q will be available in three variants, five exterior colours and two interior themes, targeting Nepal's growing electric vehicle market.
The company said the vehicle's official launch, along with pricing and detailed specifications, will be announced during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
