China Trade Fair begins today

Four-day long China Trade Fair (CTF)-2005 is beginning today. The event, which is organised by the embassy of the People’s Republic of China and Nepal-China Executive Council (NCEC) will last till April 18. The fair is being organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China. Kirti Nidhi Bista, vice-chairman of the council of ministers, is scheduled to inaugurate the fair at the Birendra International Convention Centre (BICC). According to Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai, president of NCEC, all the preparations for the fair have been completed. The fair will have a display of various Chinese products. Raw materials and standard machinery for pharmaceutical industry, hospital equipment and other medicine and health products, computers and peripherals, office equipment, mobile phones, automobiles, raw materials like silk and pashmina for textile industry and readymade garments, home appliances and agricultural products would be some of the major attractions at the fair.
