KATHMANDU: The Export-Import Bank of China has agreed to provide a concessional loan of Rs 14.97 billion to the government for the implementation of Upper Trishuli Hydro Power Project ‘’A’’ and other projects. The interest rate on the loan will be 1.75 per cent. Finance Ministry secretary Rameshore Prasad Khanal and bank vice-president Li Jun signed the memorandum of understanding on Wednesday amid a function in Kathmandu. This is the first concessional loan by the bank to the Nepal Government in hydropower sector.
