Kathmandu, April 17

The seventh edition of the Chitwan International Industrial Exhibition 2023 is scheduled to take place at the Chitwan Exhibition Centre in Bharatpur from May 5.

Organised by Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Chitwan Industry Association (CIA), the primary objective of this event is to foster the growth of entrepreneurship and industrial productivity by providing a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services.

Briefing about the exhibition, President of CNI Bishnu Kumar Agrawal stated that amidst the current economic challenges, there is an opportunity to uplift the spirits of industrial entrepreneurs through the exhibition.

Trilochan Kandel, chairman of CIA, expressed his belief that the event will serve as a suitable platform to provide Nepali entrepreneurs with the information on new technologies, inspire youth towards entrepreneurship, and support the emergence of new entrepreneurs.

Kandel informed that the three-day long exhibition will showcase a diverse range of industries, including construction, agriculture, automobiles, furniture, engineering, metal, pharmaceuticals, textiles, printing, packaging, plastics, tourism, food and beverage, and other service-oriented industries.

"There will be over 200 national and international stalls, featuring displays of modern machinery, equipment, and technology that will be useful for these industries," he added.

Kandel highlighted the significant opportunity presented by this international industrial exhibition to encourage entrepreneurs to adopt modern technologies and create an environment for the transfer of the latest technologies.

"The exhibition provides a platform for direct interaction and negotiations between domestic and foreign industries, and facilitates knowledge enhancement in areas related to branding, levelling, packaging, and process management," he informed. "These experiences will help establish better professional relationships and enable domestic industrial products to access international markets."

An interactive session will be organised during the three-day industrial exhibition to facilitate discussions on industrial challenges in the presence of related experts.

During the exhibition, discussions and seminars will be organised on the topics related to Nepal's industrial policy, potential and opportunities for industrial development in Nepal, and the 'Make in Nepal' campaign initiated by the CNI, in the presence of high-ranking government officials.
